Passionate about trekking and photography, I created this website in 2021 to share my hiking routes. My camera is a Canon EOS 100D, which I chose mainly for its lightness. As light as it is, however, I don't always take it during my long treks, because every gram counts in bivouac! This is why the photos in this section of the site are generally of lower quality.

Buy my photographs

On Photagne, you can buy a photographic print of my best photos on poster, canvas or painting. To find out more about the products for sale on this site, you can consult the page Products or directly navigate to the shop of Photagne.

The itinerant hike

In summer, I prefer bivouac hiking because it offers total freedom of movement. As a reminder, a bivouac is a temporary camp: you pitch the tent in the evening and remove it in the morning. It is authorized in most French and Italian parks, unlike wild camping. In bivouac, the bags are generally quite heavy, between 15 and 20kg for me. However, I have a friend who manages to start with less than 10kg, optimizing every last gram!

In winter, camping is a little too 'hardcore' for my tastes, so I often choose to sleep in open-access cabins. To find them and organize your hike, just one reference: the essential site refuges.info !

A warning

Going on a backpacking trip generally doesn't happen overnight. So, if you have any questions regarding the itineraries of this site, do not hesitate to contact me using the form home page. In general, it is important to take the necessary precautions as mountain routes can be dangerous. Always carry a good map, a headlamp, warm clothes, a first aid kit and a survival blanket. Go with suitable equipment and take the weather into account. In winter, it is essential to have a DVA equipment (Arva-pelle-sonde), and whether you are on skis or snowshoes. And it's always better when you don't go alone on a dangerous route (although I myself have broken this rule more than once...).

For any other question concerning the functioning of the site, use the form of the home page.
