Briançon from the top of Villar-Saint-Pancrace

An unpretentious walk with beautiful views over the Briançon valley. The Roche Motte peak (2548m) directly dominates this valley. From the charming village of Villar-Saint-Pancrace, go up towards Lauzin. Pass the chapel continuing towards the Mélézin. The path then rises quickly into the forest.

At Mélézin, after enjoying the view, take the path which leads into the forest towards Lake Plan Vallon. This one is located in a pretty mountain pasture which makes an ideal picnic spot!

The Roche Motte peak above the Briançon valley

After the lake, you can continue to climb the ridge although there is not really a well-marked trail. We then easily reach the Roche Motte peak. Finally, the return is made by retracing your steps.

Photagne

I started photography in 2015 during a trip to Hawaii. Since then, I have devoted myself to landscape photography during my many mountain treks.
