Departing from the Whitebeard area

A hike with varied landscapes that plunges along gorges before ending in lavender fields. Passing by, we can visit the pretty village of Buoux and its castle.

The Aigue Brun gorges, near Buoux

From the White Beard area, take the path which passes through fields and then descend directly into the Aigue Brun gorges. Follow the small path which runs through the bottom of these magnificent gorges. You can also climb a little into the scree slopes on the side to get better views of the neighboring cliffs.

After a few kilometers, go up steeply towards the plateau. We then easily reach the village of Buoux. A little further on, the castle is worth a look, particularly its immense sequoia.

Cross the main road and go down on the other side where the view extends over Apt. We pass by some nice houses that we could see ourselves living in for a while! The path then winds between a few lavender fields before reaching the white beard area.
