The alpine landscapes, a spectacular picture
Photos of the Alps: French, Swiss and Italian alpine massifs photographed on location for years. Vanoise, Écrins, Mont Blanc, Belledonne, Piedmont, Dolomites: each massif has its own light, conditions, and angles.
Undoubtedly, the Alps are among the most beautiful natural landscapes in France. This is why I go back year after year. In summer, the green meadows of the mountain pastures and their numerous mountain cabins invite you to relax, while the season ofmountaineering at his best. In winter, the mountain gradually empties. All that remains are snowshoes and touring skis to explore the snowy mountain scenery away from stations.
You will find on this page all my most beautiful photographs of the AlpsThese are landscapes I've explored extensively during my travels. These photos of the Alps come from hikes, snowshoeing trips, and high-altitude bivouacs. No stock images, no studio drones: each print tells a story, lived on location, in the actual conditions of the terrain.

Photos of the Alps: my vision of the landscape
The mountains have always attracted me. Not for the athletic challenge. Not for the performance. For the peace and quiet. For the solitude. For that feeling of being in the right place, far from everything.
It was there, as I walked, that photography emerged. Not as a profession, at first. Rather, as a way of keeping track. Of capturing a moment. A silence. A light.
See, really
Walking in the Alps means learning to observe. To take your time. To feel the changes in light, to read the shadows, to listen to the wind. Each outing has made me a little more attentive to these details that we forget when we go too fast.
It is this attention that has finally shaped my outlook. And it is this outlook that I then try to convey through my photographs of the Alps.
The right time
The first glimmers of light. The last. That's often when everything happens. When Mont Blanc begins to blaze, or when the ridges fade into the evening shadows. These are brief, fragile moments that you have to wait for. And not miss.
The landscape photography requires patience. And a little luck. But above all: being there at the right time.
Photagne: a project born on the ground
This site, Photagne, was born from this passion. I designed it as a living gallery: a space to share these moments captured up there, sometimes after hours of walking, sometimes by chance.
My goal is simple: to show you the Alps in a different light. To show their strength, their gentleness, their mystery. To offer a sincere, unadorned image.
The Alps, a place of connections
While my photos can sometimes seem solitary, they aren't always. I often go on long hikes with a few close friends. We walk, sharing the weight of the pack, the cold, the bivouacs, the silences. In some images, we glimpse them—small silhouettes on a ridge or a trail. These discreet presences say something essential: the mountains are also a space for conviviality. These photos of the Alps, in the end, tell as much about the landscapes as the bond that unites us. They preserve the memory of these simple, true, shared moments.
Exploring the Alps through images
Every photo I post is an invitation. To slow down. To feel. To lose yourself in the reliefs, the textures, the light.
Whether you're a mountain enthusiast or simply curious, here you can browse images taken in France, Switzerland, and Italy. From well-known locations to lesser-known ones. From sweeping views to almost invisible details. Each image has its own story.
Limited edition prints
Some of my photos of the Alps are available as art prints, in limited editions. It's a way to extend the experience. To bring a little bit of the mountains into your home. To discover what's new, I invite you to come back regularly to Photagne.
